Full Design Process
Initial Consultation
Following your inquiry, the initial client consultation is when Kate walks through her proposal for your space. Either in-person or by phone, she takes time to understand your home and the needs of those who share it. This information informs the next phases of your project. Consultations are $200.00, no matter the size or scope of the project.
Design Concept and Estimate
Kate works with you to establish foundational ideas and concepts for your project’s design and layout. Based on project requirements, site conditions, and your input, a schematic design provides a clear framework for detailed design work later.
Detailed Design Document
Kate develops your project’s initial concepts into refined, detailed plans with specifications for implementation. She’ll finalize the exact products and materials to be used, ensuring they align with the design vision and budget.
Installation and Ongoing Communication
Once you have approved all specifications, Pillar Interiors brings the plan to fruition. Kate sources every element and tracks all orders, deliveries, and shipments. She also coordinates with suppliers for timely and proper delivery, and manages any delays or issues. Upon delivery, Kate will inspect items and address any discrepancies or damages promptly. Appropriate storage is arranged if items are delivered before they are needed on-site.
Kate develops an installation schedule that cooperates with the timelines of any contractors also involved in the project. Kate also oversees the proper on-site installation of furniture, fixtures, artwork, and other elements.
