After earning her degree in Interior Design from The University of Alabama, Kate honed her expertise in prestigious firms before founding Pillar Interiors in 2024.

From an early age, I found myself captivated by the process of creating a home.
As a young girl, I spent countless afternoons exploring the construction site of our family house — balancing on floor joists, watching walls take shape, and imagining the life that would soon unfold inside them. Building was in my blood: my grandfather was a skilled builder, my grandmother a gifted designer. Visiting their homes was always an adventure, filled with the wonder of craftsmanship, creativity, and the belief that spaces could tell a story.
I knew even then that I wanted to create beautiful things. But more than that, I wanted to build connections — with people, with families, and with the places they called home. Interior design became the natural solution: a marriage of artistry, function, and human connection.
I pursued my studies in Interior Design at the University of Alabama and have now spent over eight years in the industry honing my craft. In 2024, I launched Pillar Interiors, a firm born from equal parts passion, purpose, and vision.
The name Pillar reflects both my love of architecture and my belief in timeless foundations.
A pillar is strong, supportive, and enduring — just like a home should be. It symbolizes not only the structural elements of great design but also the values at the heart of my work: excellence, integrity, and lasting beauty.
